WIGGLE EXPRESION

I've created a wiggle expresion for my camera position. I want to link it to a slider so I can keyframe the amount. My expresion looks like this wiggle(4,10) When I use the pickwhip to link to a slider it throws my camera out into space. Can anyone help?

If you just highlight the 10 before using the pickwhip it should work. The expression will look something like:
wiggle(4, thisComp.layer("Null 1").effect("Slider Control")("Slider"));
