Hi,

When i import a Photoshop File with a transparent background into Final Cut Pro It keeps the transparency so that i can can place layers over eachother as shown in this screenshot <Loading Image...>

However when i do this in Adobe after effects, It does not recognise the transparency and creates a black layer where you should be able to see the lower layer (the cars) as shown in this screenshot <Loading Image...>

Is there a box in after effects i'm not ticking or something?

Thanks very much, Gully

Well, you didn't render your movie with Alpha it would seem. To do so, enable the Millions+ option in the output module settings and choose a CoDec that supports Alpha channels, which are Apple Uncompressed, proRes, Animation, PNG and a few others. and please, put your questions in the right forums next time. The expressions forum is not that frequented and you could have waited for days for an answer at your own peril. ;-)
