a text effect & exploding screen

I was wondering how can you make the text appear as in this video and how to make the screen expload like that + where do you get sounds to add to your videos for more effect.

The explosion was definitely done with Shatter. I wouldn't be surprised if the text extrusion and animation was done using Shatter as well (it would have to have been reversed, of course), but I couldn't say for sure.
